A Child Will Lead Them
“Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”
I Timothy 4:12 ESV
|In Speech||As a child, Samuel heard God’s voice calling His name.
Samuel responded, “Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening.”
Samuel obeyed God by delivering a very difficult message to Levi.
We too are never too young or old to hear God’s voice and be used of God.
When you hear God’s voice do we respond, “Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening.”?
|In Conduct||As a shepherd boy, David conducted himself with courage knowing God was with him.
David had confidence in God’s presence to go before him and make his way straight.
David answered the call for someone to kill the giant Goliath with God’s spiritual armor.
We too must daily put on the full armor of God to go forth confidently to face “giants”.
We are more than conquerors through Him who loves us and fights our battles.
|In Love||As the youngest and favored son, Joseph forgave his brothers for their cruelty.
Joseph showered his brothers with love and kindness even though they sold him.
Joseph’s brothers were sorry about their sin and were reunited with their brother.
We too are to forgive those who are unkind to us in word or deed.
We are to love them by forgiving and blessing them with God’s love and kindness.
|In Faith||As a young boy Moses followed his Israelite family’s teaching.
Moses was true to his family’s teaching and trusted God to lead his people.
Moses saw God do many miracles on their journey. God led and fed them all.
We too can trust God to show us the way day by day and be our provider.
We simply must keep the faith and trust God for all our days.
|In Purity||As a young girl, Esther learned the ways of God and committed her life to Him.
Esther stayed pure in her heart and was true to God and her Jewish heritage.
Esther was willing to risk her life for all the Jewish people.
We too can go forward in life with a pure heart to do God’s will and make a difference.
We have an open door to tell children of Jesus’ love so they too can lead others to Him.
|In Spirit||As a young boy, Jesus knew His calling. He spiritually exemplified His Father faithfully.
Jesus knew His heavenly Father’s purpose for His life and pointed all He met to Him.
Jesus consistently obeyed His Father and followed His lead moment by moment.
We too are to follow God’s purpose and calling upon our lives and be faithful.
We are to be the hands and feet of Jesus in word and deed! Praise His Name!
